Iraqi Constitution grants Federal Court legality & constitutionality, confirms legal expert

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The legal expert, Tariq Harb, stressed that the Iraqi Constitution grants the Federal Court the legality and constitutionality.

Harb said “The suspensions over the legality and constitutionality of the Supreme Federal Court are imprecise as the Constitution grants this court the legal and constitutional cover according to the provisions of the Constitution’s Article No. 130.”

“The Article No. 130 stipulates that the applicable legislations remain in force unless they are amended or changed,” he added.

It is worth mentioning that the Federal Court law is one of the pending laws which their endorsement has been delayed several times due to political disputes among the parliamentary blocs.
