Iraqi FM urges to keep Christians in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Foreign Ministry urged to avoid encouraging Iraqi Christian citizens for immigrating abroad.

A statement by the Iraqi FM received by IraqiNews.com cited “Cardinal Kazimish Niesh the Pop of the Catholic received in the Polish Capital, Warsaw, on November 5th, 2013, the Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zibari and accompanying delegation.”

The statement added “Both sides discussed the situation of the Christian citizens in the Middle East in general and the Christians in Iraq in particular since they represent a major community in Iraq and a symbol for peaceful living in the country.”
