Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Shuwan Mohamed Taha, member of the Parliamentary Security & Defense Committee, stressed that “The Iraqi Government became unable to confront the armed groups in Iraq.”

Taha stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The armed groups and the terrorist cells are active in Iraq, however the security body is unable to fight those groups.”

“The political situation is highly complicated,” he added urging to avoid politicizing the security forces as their tasks will be shifted to protect the the authority rather than securing the citizens,” he confirmed.

“We highlighted more than once the weakness of the intelligence department and the unsuccessfulness of the security strategic plans,” Taha concluded.
