IS attributes not attending National Gathering to lack of seriousness of some INA\

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate announced that it did not participate in the expanded National Gathering due to the lack of seriousness of some sides of the Iraqi National Alliance.

A statement by the IS recited by MP, Hamza al-Gartani, stated “After holding a meeting by the IS at the office of the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, and due to the high responsibility, the IS agreed to attend the meeting of the expanded National Gathering according to the invitation of the head of INA, Ibrahim al-Jaafary.”

“The Five-side committee held four sessions and did not achieve final draft over the General Amnesty, Justice & Accountability and the Terrorism law drafts, in addition to some other drafts because of the tensed stances of some sides of the INA,” the statement added.

“The IS holds all the sides the responsibility over not adhering to the demonstrators’ demands and we confirm to our masses that we will not leave any single demand of theirs because all their demands are legitimate ones,” the statement concluded.

A statement by the National Gathering assured “The second meeting of the Gathering was held headed by the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, on last Sunday without the attendance of the Iraqiya Slate.”

The statement recited b Sheikh, Khalid al-Atiya, saying “The IS delegation participated effectively in the dialogues of the Committee formed by the Gathering but it apologized for not attending this meeting due to some pending points that need more discussions without their colleagues in the IS.”
