IS MP appreciates Religious Authority’s role in preserving civil peace

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Waleed al-Muhamadi of the Iraqiya Slate appreciated the role of the Religious Authority over urging to address the problems in Iraq through pressurizing the Government to change its approach and give the citizens’ their legitimate rights.

Muhamadi said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The role played by the Religious Authority, Ali al-Sistani and head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr in preserving the civil peace and pressurizing the Government to stop the marginalization and oppression policies is an important role that reflects high sense of responsibility towards the national issues.”

“Regrettably, the Government does not answer all these recommendations by the Religious Authority which indicates its stiffness in coping with the crises experienced by the country,” he concluded.
