(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and the US Ambassador to Iraq Stuart Jones, on Thursday, praised the victories achieved by the Iraqi security forces against ISIS, while emphasized on the importance of exercising more efforts to avoid disputes and conflicts that affect the security and stability of people in the region and world.

A statement, issued by the press office of the Iraqi Foreign Affairs Ministry, said, “Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari received the US Ambassador to Baghdad Stuart Jones today. During the meeting they discussed about the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington, the latest security and political updates and the war against ISIS.”

Adding further the statement stated, “Both sides have praised the victories that were achieved by the Iraqis in the war against ISIS and the efforts exercised by the international coalition in order to provide humanitarian and financial aid, reconstruction of the liberated areas and making a safe return of the displaced people to their homes. Both the leaders emphasized the importance of exercising more efforts to avoid disputes and conflicts that affect the security and stability of people in the region and world.”
