(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari has called upon the Arab countries to adopt a stronger stance for forcing Turkey to withdraw its troops from the Iraqi territories and added that Ankara didn’t respect the Arab decisions and the local demands regarding this issue.

Jaafari in his speech at the 27th Arab League Summit at Nouakchott said, “Iraq’s policy of good neighborliness and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and its commitment to good relations with Turkey does not mean it is prepared to neglect its sovereignty, which is still violated by the Turkish forces.”

“The Turkish army did not abide by its promises that it had made on the withdrawal of its troops from the Iraqi territory, despite Iraq’s repeated claims to withdraw the Turkish troops from Iraqi territory,” he added.

Jaafari also called the Arab countries to adopt a stronger stance regarding this violation, and force Turkey to respect the Iraqi sovereignty and the Arab decisions regarding this matter.
