Jaafary calls to avoid tensed statements harm relations between Iraq, Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) During his meeting with the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq on last Monday night, the head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, called to avoid the tensed statements that harm the relations between Iraq and Turkey.

A statement by Jaafary’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Jaafary received the Turkish Ambassador at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the political prominent issue in Iraq and the means of developing bilateral relations between the two countries.”

“Jaafary stressed establishing cultural and social relations between the two countries and starting balanced relations with all political sides,” the statement added.

“Jaafary assured that solving the current crisis is not impossible and the dialogue in addition to the active participation in the National Gathering will be an important chance to eliminate the impediments that hinder the political process,” the statement continued.

“Jaafary also emphasized that the friend countries like Turkey can play a positive role in supporting the Iraqis,” the statement noted.

“For his part, the Ambassador confirmed that the next stage will witnessed improvement concerning bilateral relations and that he will seek ending the disputes to support Iraqis,” the statement concluded.
