Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, and the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq discussed the means of upgrading bilateral relations between the two countries.
A statement by Jaafary’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The meeting involved discussions over consolidating investment and economic exchange between the two countries.”
“Jaafary stressed the necessity of Japanese Companies’ participation in developing the infrastructure,” the statement continued.
“Both sides reviewed the recent political dialogues among the political sides during the National Gathering and its results,” the statement added.
“The Ambassador expressed his country’s support for the democratic process in Iraq and confirmed his intention inviting the Japanese Companies to invest in Iraq to expand the economic activities between the two countries,” the statement concluded.
