Jihad criticizes decision of holding parliament urgent session next Sunday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hasan Jihad, of the Kurdistani Alliance criticizes the decision of holding the parliament urgent session on next Sunday.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “There is no justification for holding the parliament urgent session since the parliament will resume its sessions after some days.”

“Discussing the issue of the demonstrations in the parliament will result in heated debates that will have negative consequences,” he added.

“The Government can implement some of the demonstrators’ demands in this period to reduce the tension which could not be reduced through the parliament,” he assured.

“The direct contacts between the Government and the representatives of the demonstrators will settle all the issues,” he concluded.

Anbar, Nineveh and Salah-il-Din provinces witness demonstrations since more than a week in protest of arresting the guards of the Finance Minister, Rafi al-Esawi, and calling to release the detainees in addition to getting the IA forces from the cities.
