KA not to attend meeting of political leaders called for by Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance announced that it will not attend the meeting of the political leaders called for by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, on Saturday to discuss the political crisis.

A source within the KA stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Saturday “The KA rejected Maliki’s invitation to attend the meeting that he called for to discuss the political crisis between Kurdistan Region and the Central Government.”

“The rejection of the KA is resulted from Maliki’s latest statements where he accused Kurdistan Region of hindering the implantation of the security agreement in the disputed areas,” the source added.

“The KA will release a statement to announce that it will not attend the meeting,” the source concluded.

Earlier, an informed source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Saturday “Maliki invited all the heads of the political blocs to attend a meeting at the Cabinet building to discuss the latest crisis with Kurdistan Region in addition to some other issues,”

“The participants will discuss the means of settle the crisis and the deals over endorsing the important law drafts,” the source concluded. /End
