Khuzai, Australian Ambassador to Iraq discuss common interests

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Vice President, Khudhayer al-Khuzai discussed with the Australian Ambassador to Iraq Lyndall Sachs, the Iraqi-Australian bilateral relations and means of developing them, they also discussed a number of other issues of common interest for both countries.

A statement by Khuzai’s media office cited on Thursday “Khuzai received on Thursday Sachs at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the participation of the Australia in reconstructing Iraq through the investment projects,” stressing that “Iraq has great financial and economic potentials.”

“The VP Khuzai confirmed Iraq’s markets’ ability to accommodate the Australian capitals and that the Iraqi laws can offer good guarantees for the investors,” the statement added.

“For her part, the Australian Ambassador emphasized her country’s eagerness to strengthen the ties with Iraq,” it concluded.
