Kurdistan RegionG PM, Erdogan discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Prime Minister of Kurdistani Regional Government, Nijirvan Barzani, and the Turkish PM, Recep Tayib Erdogan, discussed bilateral relations.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan received by IraqiNews.com cited “Barzani met Erdogan on the margin of the annual Atlantic Council Energy and Economic Summit that was held in Istanbul city,” noting that “Both sides discussed the cooperation between Kurdistan Region and Turkey especially in the power and economic fields.”

“The meeting tackled the means of facilitating the commercial exchange between the two sides and stressed the importance of coordination between the concerned sides in Kurdistan Region and Turkey,” the statement added.

“They also reviewed the political updates in the region as they discussed the political situation in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
