Kurdish MP rules out settling crisis by parliament
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ruz Mahdi Shawis, of the Kurdistani Alliance ruled out settling the political crisis in Iraq by the parliament only.
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “The parliament is unable to settle the political crisis in Iraq without a political deal by all the political blocs.”
“The legislative and observatory role of the parliament cannot be activated due to the real disputes that are related to respecting the constitution and applying its articles which negatively affect the parliament performance,” he added.
Some politicians and MPs attributed the delay in endorsing the crucial law drafts in the parliament to the political disputes among the leaders of the political blocs.
