Kurdish MP: Some MPs attempt to defend Maliki against canceling Ration Card

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Sharif Sulaiman, of the Kurdistani Alliance accused some politicians that he did not name, of attempting to discharge the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, from the decision of canceling the ration Card.

He stated to All Iraq News Agency (IraqiNews.com) “The government is trying to justify the decision of canceling the Ration Card that affects the Iraqi people,” noting that “The decision was taken by the government and not by the political blocs that nominated the ministers.”

“The KA rejects this decision because it represents the Iraqi people, whereas the government is responsible for making the decisions and the resolutions of the parliament,” he concluded.

Earlier, the spokesperson of the Dawa Islamic Party, Haider al-Ebadi, stated “The ministers have voted on the decision of canceling the Ration Card after submitting the suggestion by the Trade Minister,” noting that “Maliki adopted this decision as being the Prime Minister of Iraq.”
