Larijani, Iraqi officials discuss mutual relations, Syrian crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Shura Council Speaker, Ali Larijani discusses with some Iraqi officials, the mutual relations and the regional issues such as the Syrian crisis.

A source of Najaf Provincial Council stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Wednesday “Larijani left Najaf province heading to Baghdad to meet the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to discuss some important issues and the mutual relations.”

“After meeting the Iraqi officials, Larijani will head to Karbala province to visit the holy shrines then he will leave to Iran,” the source added.

Earlier, Larijani arrived in Najaf to meet the religious authorities.

An informed source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Larijani has arrived in Najaf where he was received by the First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Qusai al-Sihail, the chairman of Najaf Provincial Council, Fa’id Kadhim Noun, as well as other officials.”

Larijani conducted visits to a number of regional countries including Turkey and Lebanon recently.

It is worth mentioning that Larijai has met the Religious Authority, Ali al-Sistani, where they discussed the political updates in the region.

Larijani has also met the Religious Authorities, Ishaq al-Fayadh, Mohammed Saed al-Hakim and Bashir al-Nijaifi, where he stated in a press conference “I came to Iraq according to the invitation of the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, where the reason of this visit is to unify the stances over the regional issues.”
