Limiting PM’s terms law comes to eliminate monopolizing authority, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Hussain al-Hussain, pointed out “The law of limiting the three Presidencies’ terms was endorsed by the parliament was endorsed to eliminate monopolizing authority.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Some sides exploiting the judicial authority for their partisan interests.”

“The situation in Iraq is different from the rest of countries,” he added.

Concerning the concerns over rejecting this law by the Federal Court, he mentioned “We still think that the judiciary is independent and the attempts to reject this law means exploiting the judiciary.”

The parliament endorsed this law with the majority of 170 MPs while the members of the State of Law Coalition objected the law.
