Maliki: Article 140 of Constitution not accomplished yet

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, said that the Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution is not accomplished yet.

In his weekly speech, Maliki emphasized “No way to conduct a referendum exploiting the current events,” noting that “Determining the fate of Kurdistan Region will take it to an unknown direction.”

“Nothing mentioned in the constitution about the right of determining the fate and the areas controlled by the military forces will restore their natural status,” he concluded.
