Maliki, Nijaifi discuss results of security negotiations between KR, CG

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed the latest negotiations between Kurdistan Region and the Central Government over the security situation in the disputed areas.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Friday cited “Maliki received Nijaifi at his office in Baghdad where they discussed the latest results of the negotiations between KR and CG over the security situation in the disputed areas.”

“The two sides stressed the necessity of adhering to the constitution and the security pact of 2009,” the statement concluded.
