Maliki stresses to US media delegation, Iraq’s need to military equipment

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, assured that Iraq needs to the military equipment to defend itself to ensure that no one will violate its rights.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com “Maliki received the American media delegation that visits Iraq to hold the join meeting with Iraq over the security and defense which will be held in Baghdad.”

“Maliki stressed the necessity expediting the implementation of the agreements between the two sides,” the statement added.

“For his part, the Undersecretary of the US Defense Minister, assured that the USA is adherent to increase the cooperation with Iraq to provide it with the required weapons as soon as possible,” the statement pointed out.

“The delegation will continue holding meetings with the Iraqi security officials to discuss some important issues,” the statement concluded.
