Maliki to request judiciary to punish sectarian agitators

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, announced that he will submit a request to the judiciary to punish the agitators of sectarianism among the Iraqi constituents.”

While inaugurating the regular Conference of the Middle and Southern provinces of Iraq, Maliki said “The latest bombings have clear sectarian indicators where the agitators of sectarianism must be punished where I will submit a request to the judiciary to convict and punish these agitators.”

“We hear some sides who participated in the political process talking in a sectarian way which is a dangerous issue that threaten the citizens and we say to the foreign sides supporting the sectarian calls that the unity of Iraq will fail your conspiracies,” he added.

“The beneficiaries of the sectarianism are the militia leaders and we call the media outlets that are sectarian to leave this policy where all the governmental institutions including the judiciary, have to punish these sides because it is against the constitution and the law,” he concluded.
