Ministerial commission: 2485 detainees released

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The ministerial commission formed to consider the demonstrators’ demands announced that (2485) detainees were released, while more than (91000) retirement transactions and about (1800) transactions of lifting reservations on houses were also settled.

A statement by the commission received by IraqiNews.com cited on Monday “During its 17th meeting held on last Sunday headed by Hussein al-Shahristani, the ministerial commission confirmed releasing 1077 among these detainees charged with terrorism.”

“The ministerial commission informed the Ministry of Justice about receiving (2559) transactions to lift reservations on the residential houses where 1895 of them were settled throughout the provinces,” the statement concluded.
