Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministerial Commission that was formed by the Iraqi Council of Ministers to follow up the demands of the demonstrators decided to some procedures to address a number of files related to the Accountability & Justice Law and the demands for releasing the prisoners and detainees.

A statement by the Commission cited on Thursday that “The ministerial commission held a meeting headed by Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, in which it hosted representatives from the Supreme Judicial Council and the Accountability and Justice Board where they discussed the two files of the detainees and that of canceling the A & J Law.”

“The conferees agreed on a number of measures concerning those files,” the statement added.

“The commission recommended to intensify the work to settle the cases of the detainees as soon as possible,” It confirmed.

“The ministerial commission will continue its meetings to trace what was agreed upon and promised to consider the demonstrators’ demands,” the statement concluded.
