Mladenov: Critical stage obliges President to consolidate convergence among all sides

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Nickolay Mladenov, presented on Sunday his congratulations to President Fuad Masoum, calling him to work on the convergence of views among all the components of Iraq.

A statement by the presidency received by IraqiNews.com cited “Masoum received at his office in Baghdad, Nickolay Mladenov Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, and the accompanying delegation.”

“Mladenov confirmed that assuming the President Post at this critical stage obliges the President to work on consolidating the convergence among all Iraqi communities,” the statement added.

The statement concluded “Mladenov offered congratulations on behalf of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Masoum on the occasion of his election as President of the Republic and praised his political expertise.” / End/
