Mohammadi: Involving IA in Syrian situation proves politicizing it

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Walid al-Mohammadi, of the Iraqiya Slate described involving the Iraqi Army in the Syrian situation as “An evidence on politicizing it.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “Involving the IA in the Syrian issue is evidence on politicizing it where it will negatively affect the internal situation of Iraq because the borders are resided by families and tribes that do not accept to be violated.”

“The Iraqi government assured that it is neutrally dealing with the Syrian situation in spite of the doubts over its stance, but it has to adhere to this stance because the Iraqi situation cannot bear any irresponsible action,” he added.

“Involving the Iraqi soldiers in a lost war will result in dangerous consequences in the internal and external situations of Iraq,” he pointed out, assuring that “We do not want to see the dead Iraqi soldiers as what happened in the Iraqi-Iranian war, but we have to establish good relations with the Syrian people and not the Syrian regime that is about to end.”
