MP attributes escalation of political tensions to proximity of local elections date

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Karim Elewi of the Iraqi National Alliance stressed that the current crises are fabricated by the political blocs to coincide with the approach of launching the upcoming provincial elections to get political gains.

Elewi said “We see that the tensions on political arena increase as the date of the local elections approaches where each side seeks to get the fanbase for its interest.”

He called “The Iraqi statesmen to deal with the problems and crises prudently and rationally through prevailing the interests of the Iraqi people above all other privileges and interests and respecting the sacrifices of the people who suffered a lot for decades.”
