MP calls to host Talabani at Parliament to discuss political disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Samira al-Mousawi of the State of Law Coalition called to host the Iraqi President Jalal Talabani in the Parliament to clarify the developments of his discussions concerning holding the planned National Meeting that is devoted to resolve the political crisis.

Mousawi stated to IraqiNews.com that “We suggest hosting Talabani at the Parliament to meet the MPs directly to confer about the developments of his talks with the political sides in respect to holding the planned meeting and settling the pending issues.”

It is worth to mention that the President has held several meetings over the past few weeks and his discussions are still ongoing with all the political blocs to reach a compromise among them to address the existing crisis.

For his part, MP Abdul Salam al-Maliki of the SLC revealed Talabani’s intention to launch a new initiative to settle the political disputes.
