MP criticizes intelligence efforts in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Wisal Saleem of the parliamentary Human Rights Committee called to intensify the intelligence efforts in the cities and not to depend only on the confidential informants in telling information about the suspects.

Saleem stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “There are many innocents were victims of the confidential informants, therefore we call to tighten the intelligence efforts inside the cites and the police stations,” noting that “Sometimes, The confidential informants work in accordance with hatreds and rancor resulted from tribal or social disputes that may lead the informants to trap innocent persons.”

She confirmed that “Our committee does not defend the criminals but it demands to serve them the due punishment, but at the same time the arrests must be based on precise and accurate information.”
