Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Karim Elewi of the Iraqi National Alliance stressed that “The Iraqi Government met some of the demonstrators’ demands but there are pressures on the government to meet all the demands including the illegal ones.”

Elewi said “The Government has met some legitimate demands but the problem is whenever it meets some demands another demands emerge so we think that those demands are mere means to pressurize the government to meet all the demands including those illegal ones such as canceling the Anti-Terrorism’s article 4 and Accountability & Justice Law and issuing general amnesty.”

“These demands are not legitimate whereas there are many reasonable demands such as the call for public services,” he added.
