(IraqiNews.com) Diyala – On Sunday, Mukdadiyah District Council called the local and central governments to send military reinforcements to the district northeast of Baqubah due to the presence of sleeper cells belonging to ISIS in the district.

Head of the security committee in Muqdadiyah District Council, Ali Hussien al-Mady, said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “Muqdadiyah District Council is calling both the local and central governments to send more security troops in order to reinforce the security procedures in the district.”

Mady added, “The security procedures have to be enhanced in the areas north of Muqdadiyah due to the presence of sleeper cells belonging to ISIS in these areas.”
