Netherlands informs Iraq of rejecting 15 thousand Iraqi refugees

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Dutch government informed Iraq of intending to reject 15 thousand requests for the Iraqi refugees.

A statement by the media office of the parliament received by IraqiNews.com cited “The General Director of the Dutch Foreign Ministry, Rinea Jones, informed the head of the Parliamentary Immigration and Immigrants Committee, Liqa Wardi, that the Dutch government intends to reject 15 thousand requests of the Iraqi refugees to Netherlands due to the lack of the required conditions for their stay.”

“She called to provide job opportunities to the rejected refugees, expressing her pleasure of visiting Iraq,” the statement added.

The statement pointed out “The two sides discuss the issue of the force return of the Iraqi refugees in Netherlands,” noting that “Wardi called to have a coordination between the parliament and the Dutch government over setting the mechanism of this issue.”

“Wardi stressed the necessity of forming a delegation to visit the refugees to be acquainted with their needs and preparing the required means to bring them back to Iraq,” the statement concluded.
