New armed groups aim at targeting clergymen, officials in northren Babel

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) Babel Governor revealed that there are new armed groups in northern Babel province.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The new terrorist organizations work according plans in coordination with some sides that shelter them in these areas.”

“These groups aim at targeting clergymen and officials especially before the next elections,” he added, noting that “The intelligence information confirmed activating the performance of these groups to hinder the works of the local government.”

“The Central Government must interfere to hinder the plans of these groups by supporting Babel,” he concluded.
