Nijaifi, Ghanushi discuss situations of Iraq, Tunis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed with the head of the Tunisian Renaissance Movement, Rashid al-Ghanushi, the situations in Iraq and Tunis in light of the democratic shifts happening in both friendly countries.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office cited that “Nijaifi met, on last Tuesday, with Ghanushi on a banquet held by Ghanusdhi in honor of Nijaifi and his accompanying delegation.”

“The meeting discussed the situations under the democratic changes witnessed by both countries,” it added.

“For his part, Ghanushi expressed his sincere wishes of progress and prosperity to the Iraqi people,” the statement added.

It referred that Nijaifi has met with the Iraqi community at headquarter of the Iraqi embassy in Tunis where he listened to their problems and needs promising them to follow up their situations and alleviate their sufferings.
