Nujaifi calls from Washington to set up geographic regions, sharing of powers according to the Constitution

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad- On Monday, the governor of Nineveh Ethel Nujaifi called on to set up geographic regions and share powers in Iraq according to the constitution, stressing the need to develop a vision of the post-liberation of Nineveh starting from now.

Nujaifi said in a statement during a speech at the Brookings Institute for Strategic Studies in Washington, “It is necessary to share powers in Iraq to establish geographic regions,” noting that, “The creation of Nineveh province will give the opportunity for the components to include their rights within the local constitution,” stressing the need for fair elections in which all the Iraqi components are involved.
