Obama checks on Talabani’s health

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The US President, Barak Obama, sent the Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, a message to reassure on his health.

A statement by the Iraqi Presidency cited that “Obama sent Talabani a message to check on his health.”

The statement quoted Obama as saying “With deep sadness we received the news of your health crisis, you were genuine friend to the US for many years and influential leader for the new democratic state of Iraq.”

He added “I wish you urgent recovery so as to resume your post as soon as possible to be able to continue our work in building real partnership between our both countries.”
