 Obama’s envoy congratulates Abadi on Fallujah liberation

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Monday, Special Presidential Envoy for the international coalition to counter ISIS, Brett H. McGurk, congratulated Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi for completely liberating Fallujah from ISIS control; further urging the government and security forces to continue moving forward toward Mosul in order to eliminate ISIS control from the city and attaining its complete liberation.

US Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, said, “The Special Presidential Envoy for the international coalition to counter ISIS, Brett H. McGurk, has congratulated Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and the security forces for completely liberating Fallujah from ISIS control.”

The statement added, “McGurk also affirmed his call to move forward toward the liberation of Mosul.”
