Parliamentary source rules out holding urgent parliament session next Sunday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Parliamentary source ruled out holding the parliament exceptional session on next Sunday for coinciding with the anniversary of the Iraqi Army Day.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), the source assured “It is difficult for MPs to attend the parliament session at a day considered among the important official occasions in Iraq.”

Earlier, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, called to hold an urgent session to discuss the political crisis two days before the scheduled date for resuming parliament sessions.

A statement by the media office of the Parliament cited “Nijaifi called to hold an exceptional session on next Sunday morning to discuss the current crisis.”

The political blocs do not show their opinion about this call yet.
