Planned meeting of Baghdad-Erbil join action commission postponed till 27th

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance revealed on Sunday that “The planned meeting of the mutual supreme action commission between Baghdad and Erbil has been postponed till next week under the request of the federal defense ministry.”

The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan website quoted the MP Shuan Taha of the KA as saying that “The meeting of the joint action commission that is scheduled to be held on Sunday was postponed till 27th of January under request of the Ministry of Defense.”

He clarified that “The Defense Ministry called to postpone the meeting because it is busy with the current demonstrations and protests in some provinces.”

The two delegations of the federal Defense Ministry and Peshmerga Ministry have held a series of meetings over the past few weeks the last of which were on last Sunday in Baghdad,” the source added.

Despite the fact that the past meetings were described as positive, yet both sides did not reach till now final agreement over this file.
