Political disputes behind delaying Budget law of 2013, says Sadrist MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Sherifi, of Ahrar bloc assured that the disputes that delay the endorsement of the Budget law of2013 are merely political and aims at achieving some interests not for the citizens.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “There are no disputes over the citizens’ interests,” noting that “Some blocs set their interests as condition for endorsing the budget.”

“MPs of the Kurdistani Alliance, State of Law Coalition and the Iraqiya Slate did not attend the session devoted to the vote on the budget law,” he added.

He ruled out “Endorsing the budget law if the political blocs adhered to their demands.”
