Rikabi denies launching statement over alleged call between Maliki, Araji

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Sadiq al-Rikabi, of the State of Law Coalition denied launching statement for internet website over alleged phone called between the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the head of Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Baha al-Araji, in which Maliki called Araji to abandon the investigation over the armament contracts concluded with Russia to grant him the post of Baghdad Mayor.

A statement by Rikabi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “These statements mentioned by the website are groundless.”

“Rikabi is always away from the media altercations and he stresses building the State through law and constitution,” the statement concluded.
