Sadoun calls to keep financial budget away from political disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mihsin al-Sadoun, of the Kurdistani Alliance called to keep the financial budget away from the political disputes.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The budget may be exploited for political aims through calls to reduce the budget of Kurdistan Region,” noting that “The allocated percentage for KR during the former years was 17% because the census is not conducted yet.”

“KR will adhere to the percentage that will be identified by the census,” he added, assuring that “The percentage of KR was identified a long time ago before toppling the former regime.”

“The political tensions led to the calls for reducing KR budget and now we call to endorse the budget for all the Iraqi provinces rather than the provinces of KR only,” he concluded.
