Sayadi intends to join SLC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Kadhim al-Sayadi, an Independent MP in parliament, revealed on Wednesday, his intention to “join the State of Law Coalition parliamentary bloc.”

Sayadi said in a statement received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Wednesday that “I decided to leave the Ahrar Bloc within the Sadr Trend, which I used to belong to, because the bloc lacks clarity and due to absence of a roadmap for the bloc.”

He added “I thought I can be independent for a while away from the pressures practiced by the political blocs on the deputies in the case of endorsing laws as well as media statements of some corrupted sides,” noting that “I found that my policy and political vision are compatible with visions of the State of Law Coalition.”

He stressed that “The SLC bloc’s adoption for the central strategy in building a strong state and its policy related to giving further authorities to the provinces and territories as well as its respect and commitment towards the law in addition to its common obedience to the Central State encourage me to join this bloc.”

Sayadi pointed out that “I have a real intention to join the State of Law Coalition, after I had realized it is the bloc that meets all conditions of building the developed State.”

MP Kadhim al-Sayadi withdrew in 2011 from Ahrar Parliamentary bloc of al-Sadr Trend, which announced the cancellation of his membership.

The leader of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, described MP Sayadi in a press release as “Crazy,” refusing to “forgive him.”
