Security forces impose curfew on Samarra

(IraqiNews.com) A security source in Salahuddin stated on Wednesday, that the security forces have imposed a curfew on the city of Samarra until further notice.

The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The leadership of Samarra Operations Command decided yesterday evening to impose a curfew on Samarra until further notice without giving further details.”

Samarra Operations Command announced on February 3rd that the security forces and al- Hashd al-sha’bi were able to achieve the objective of the first phase of Salahuddin liberation campaign, noting that the troops managed to liberate the road of Rasasi River, as well as Siphonat areas east Samarra.
