Shahristani: 335 detainees released

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein al-Shahristani, the head of the ministerial commission that was formed to follow up the demonstrators’ demands announced releasing (335) detainees after proving their innocence by the Iraqi judiciary.

During a press conference attended by IraqiNews.com, Shahristani said that “The ministerial commission approved releasing 335 detainees from the prisons of the Ministry of Justice.”

“The release of those detainees came in response to the demonstrators’ demands,” he added.
