Shalah: Kurdistan RegionG misunderstands concept of Federal State

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Ali al-Shalah, of the State of Law Coalition pointed out that the Kurdistani Regional Government misunderstood the concept of the Federal Government.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Kurds did not comprehend this concept well because of the absence of the Iraqi Army during the 1990s.”

“Resorting to the constitutional articles is not limiting the authorities of any one rather it is getting harmony with the concept of the State,” he remarked.

“The problem does not lay in the meetings among the officials but it is represented in neglecting the constitution and adopting the political compromises,” he assured.

“We have reached a crucial vision over the bases of the Federal State,” he added.

“The authorities of the Federal Government are identified in the Federal States like the foreign policy, defense policy and all what is related to the equal rights of all the citizens,” he concluded.
