Shalan: Time, condition not suitable for tribal delegation sent to Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Tribal Parliamentary Committee, Hussein al-Shalan, pointed out that the time and the condition were not suitable for the tribal delegation sent to Anbar province.

Speaking to IraqiNews.com, he mentioned “The tribes are the safety for Iraqis and they are requested to mediate in the current huge crisis but the mediation must be well considered,” noting that “Only those who have wise visions can interfere to settle the disputes.”

“Some politicians want to involve the tribes in the disputes to gain time and this will hinder the wise people’s attempts to settle the crisis,” he concluded.

A number of chieftains from central and southern Iraq accused Qaeda and Baath elements of being behind offending them during their visit to Anbar on last Monday.
