Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi cleric Sheikh Qasim al-Tai, on Wednesday, called Iraqi official governors to boycott US Vice President Joe Biden and ignore him, underlying he was the owner of a project to split Iraq into three divisions since the eighties of the last century.

Via his spokesman, Al-Tai stated that any Iraqi official to interact with Biden shall be involved in the project for division, noting that Biden was the first to create the project for division when he was a deputy in the American Congress, and the federal system of Iraq serves the same purpose.

The spokesman Abu Mohammed Basri added “Iraqi officials are required to send this man a message with neglect to inform him unpleasantness of his presence.”

Former Prime-Minister Nuri al-Malik, also on Wednesday, said “The statements about reforming regions of Iraq based on sectarian backgrounds shows disrespect from Biden, asked him not to put issues of harm to Iraq through his statement.”

Earlier in the Washington Post, Jo Biden said “The United States supports a federal system in Iraq to resolve the ongoing divisions.”
