Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Mahdi al-Khafaji, of the State of Law Coalition warned from the permeation of the Baathist figures into the national slates for forming the alliances to participate in the next elections for the provincial councils.

Khafaji stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday “There are some Baathist figures try to permeate within the national slates to participate in the next local elections in order to bring the Baath Party back to the political process.”

“Such attempts are continuous to achieve some posts in the State where the Iraqis, especially the families of the martyrs are requested not to elect those figures regardless their justifications,” he concluded.
