Speaker announces extending current parliament term till ratifying 2013 budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, announced extending the current term of the parliament till ratifying the budget of 2013.

A statement by the media office of the parliament received by IraqiNews.com quoted Nijaifi as saying while heading the meeting of the leaders and the representatives of bloc “The parliament will extend its current legislative term till the endorsement of 2013 budget.”

He called to endorse the budget law as soon as possible before the end of 2012 to enable the government to accomplish its tasks.
