Speaker of KR Parliament, IHEC delegation discuss elections of KR provinces

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker of Kurdistan Region Parliament, Arsalan Bayiz, and the delegation of the Independent High Electoral Commission conducting the elections of KR provinces.

A statement by the IHEC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Bayiz received the IHEC delegation that involved the head of the IHEC Commissioners council, his deputy and the members of the council,” noting that “Both sides discussed the mechanisms of conducting the elections in KR provinces according to the legal and constitutional merits in the region.”

“The meeting was attended by the deputy Speaker of KR, Hasan Sora,” the statement mentioned.

“At the end of the meeting, Bayiz congratulated the delegation on assuming their new posts after the approval of the Iraqi parliament,” the statement concluded.
